If you want to simplify your home life, take better care of yourself, and enjoy your kids more, you are in the right place.
When I had my first baby, I was given two pieces of advice: “Sleep when the baby sleeps” and “Lower your standards for everything.”
Well, I learned pretty quickly that I’m incapable of napping during the day, no matter how exhausted I am. And that letting things go was not producing the type of life I wanted to live.
Ten years and five kids later, my advice to new parents sounds more like this: “Train the baby to sleep when you need to sleep” and “Get some simple systems in place to keep your household running.”
In short, learn to manage your home.
If you find yourself swirling — exhausted, with a messy house, piles of laundry, and no clue what’s for dinner tonight, I invite you to follow along with me here, as we work together towards a well-managed, simple home.
